One of the most important rules, and the one I see being broken all the time, is that you never read people without their permission.
As a strong empath, and one that connects easily, I do take safety precautions when I’m with people. I tune in to people’s energy just enough to keep myself energetically safe. I never tune in enough to intrude in their personal business.
Reading someone without their permission is like walking into their bedroom without an invite. There are too many mediums who will start telling you about yourself and your personal business before they even say hello, and more importantly, before you’ve even given them the go ahead to do so.
I’ve listened to many mediums bragging about reading people they don’t know while they’re walking through shops or other public venues. It’s our personal responsibility to nurture our gifts with total respect for spirit, for ourselves, and for every single person who comes in contact with us.
There is no place for ego if you want to work as a medium. If a medium discusses someone’s personal business following readings they have done, they are crossing an ethical line and shouldn’t be reading at all.
